Role Description
- Assist Experience & Events Team on producing the Taste of DC for 2023
- Act as the Project Manager and Event Producer for the Taste of DC to ensure the following:
- Ensure that the Taste of DC pre-event "to do list" is executed prior to event
- Assist with the management of the Taste of DC intern program
- Secure all vendors and exhibitors (and their appropriate documentation) for the event

- Taste of DC Special Events permit is signed off on by all parties
- Contract with and manage all independent contractors and vendors
- Staffing plan is created, hiring completed and executed
- Event Build is done prior to all restaurants and partners showing up
- Manage sponsorship relationships onsite
- Ensure all sponsor contracts are fulfilled prior to event
- Develop full layout/site plan for event
- Curate and manage the run-of-show for the event
- Host meeting and walk throughs with all vendors and staff leading up to the event
- Secure communication system (walkie talkies) for all on-site crew day-of
- Ensure TODC surpasses both environmental and DEI standards

- Ensure a photographer and videographer capture desired footage by Taste of DC MGMT
- Ensure video and photos are turned around in time to accommodate Stewardship deadlines
- Work with Sales team on a post event sales plan for re-signing 2023 partners into the 2024 event
- Ensure a photographer and videographer capture desired footage by Taste of DC MGMT
- Assist in managing all pre-event and post-event customer service functions in conjunction with the Moment Maker Team
- Plan and execute a series of TODC teaser events at National Union Building's culinary kitchen
- Work with existing partners and sponsors to highlight who you will get to see at Taste of DC as a prelude to the event
- Work with the marketing team to ensure a communications plan is created and executed on for both partners, sponsors, and guests
- Create a package to share with vendors and partners including graphics, handles, links and promocodes
- Develop documentation of Standard Operating Procedures framework for all teams associated with the operations of Taste of DC
- Day of point of contact for the event - set up, load in, load out and execution of event, along with crew and interns
- Launch a Taste of DC "After Action" meeting within 5 days of event with all key staff and contractors to improve upon strengths and solve issues where we are deficient.
