Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Oakland, CA Job at ProCare Therapy
ProCare Therapy is working with a school district located in Oakland area that is in need of a teacher for the visually impaired for the rest of the 2022-2023 school year.
With students’ needs becoming increasingly individualized, the demand for school professionals is at an all-time high. And the demands placed on school professionals are also greater than ever.

Job Type:
- Full time: 35 hours/day
- February 2023 - June 2023
- Onsite
- Itinerant position
- Experience teaching braille and technology assisting devices
- Supporting consultative services and student evaluations across caseload
- Responsible for providing direct services as outline in IEP, provide instruction in skills needed to compensate for vision loss, braille, technology, self-advocacy, etc.
- More details of position will be discussed on an interview with the Director of Special Education
- Pay: $43-48 per hour
- Pay is negotiable and experience based
Requirements:
- California TVI certification
- Masters degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students
- Previous school experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
