We are looking for switchboard operator who can direct calls from patients, referring physicians and hospitals to the appropriate personnel within our practice. Job Summary

Daily responsibilities may include:

• Reports to work on a regular and consistent basis.Answers all calls in a friendly and professional manner.
• Directs incoming calls to the appropriate parties and departments.
• Supports team by scanning, indexing and filing patient documents .
• Opens, sorting & distributing interoffice mail.
• Exercises professionalism in dealing with all levels of personnel, patients and patients' families.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette, service recovery and other related customer service concepts.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and related privacy standards.
• Comfortable working with a variety of software systems.
• Communicates clearly and concisely.
• Ability to respond to stressful/emergency situations in calm and effective manner.
