JOB PURPOSE
The Sharepoint Engineer position is responsible for supporting the technical requirements of TI & NTG’s internal communications channels, specifically its SharePoint/Intranet, Microsoft Teams application and digital display technology. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled SharePoint engineer with a strong background in SharePoint and Microsoft Teams design, web part construction, meeting facilitation and content management. The candidate should also have the ability to learn the technology TI & NTG utilizes to create various forms of communications content. This person should be organized, committed to teamwork, and excited to play a key role in the company’s digital transformation and growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the technical content manager for the intranet website
- Serve as the technical SharePoint engineer for the company, building, designing and updating SharePoint webpages and webparts, troubleshooting issues
- Serve as the technical content manager for the company’s digital display system
- Serve as the primary communications technical support for large company meetings which includes running presentations and preparing and managing audio/visual equipment at events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for large Microsoft Teams meetings.
- Serve as the content manager for our Microsoft Teams application and its homepage
- Ability to stay informed and implement the latest trends to enhance our SharePoint and Microsoft teams channels.
- Support general corporate communications functions as needed
- Support the company’s digital transformation project with effective and timely supporting intranet enhancements.
- Serves as communications technology consultant in cross-departmental and/or cross-operating company teams.
- Support the company’s branding efforts by developing the tenants to house change management information and training.
- Support the company’s training program by developing intranet sites and other technology.
- Under minimal supervision, interact with executives on various digital communications assignments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in corporate communications.
- Proven experience in managing a company’s digital communications channels.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong technical editing, proofreading, layout and web design skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to confidently work with and advise department leaders and corporate leadership on digital communications strategy and tactics.
- Superior project management and time management skills.
- Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in internal communications digital media.
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management.
- Expert in SharePoint (engineering and content management)
- Expert in Microsoft Teams application.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive)
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Premier, Acrobat) a plus.
- Familiarity with Asana (project management) a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Standard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise. Remote work allowed based on company policy.
PHYSICAL EFFORT
Maintain a stationary position for extended periods; move about the office, operate computers and files, as needed; and frequently communicate with others. SCHEDULING
This is a full-time benefits-eligible position. 40 hours a week. Must be willing to work extra hours as needed to complete assigned work.
TRAVEL
Local travel is required. Out-of-state travel is limited, but may be required for company events, meetings and special training/conferences.
