Job Title: Shareholder Services & Marketing Administrator

Classification: Level 4

Status: Reports to Manager of Marketing and Community Relations

Purpose: To foster a sense of cooperative community and excellent customer service within the

Brattleboro Food Co-op through effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.

Customer Service:

  • Enroll and Onboard New Shareholders
  • Liaison between shareholder workers and department staff to enhance worker productivity and contribution to Co-op.
  • Collaborate with all departments to deliver excellent customer service
  • Coordinating with the Demo & Events Coordinator to establish and deliver Shareholder events, classes, etc.

Product Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the Co-op business model and benefits of being a Shareholder.
  • Management and enrollment of shareholders and community members to Co-op events.
  • Understanding of specials, deals, and store flyers.

Safety:

  • Ensure proper training of shareholders with departments to ensure efficiency of job and safety of all Shareholders during their work hours.
  • A firm understanding of Co-op security and facility protocols.

Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with all members of the Marketing and Community Relations team and Front End, and other departments.
  • Collaborates with Front End on stocking BFC merchandise, apparel, and inventory and other in-store materials as requested by Marketing Manager.
  • Takes responsibility for own actions. Exemplifies honesty, integrity, and ethics

Job Specific Functions:

  • Orientation and follow-up of new shareholders
  • Coordinate shareholder work schedules, hours tracking and discount activation/deactivation with IT as necessary
  • Coordinate Shareholder payment reminders
  • Coordinate with Marketing Manager and IT for shareholder and staff discounts, payments, withdrawals, transfers, and database
    maintenance within BFC systems
  • Answer phones
  • Monitors email and phone inboxes for customer inquiries that are applicable to job.
  • Proper prioritization and attention to detail of tasks on a daily basis based on needs of Co-op and Shareholders
  • Placement of monthly/bi-weekly posters/flyers and calendars in store as needed
  • Maintain, assemble, and stock printed materials about co-op membership, history and other pertinent co-op information. As well as restocking BFC merchandise
  • Build and stock Shareholder sign-up packets
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Marketing & Community Relations Manager
  • Cross-train on Front End, running cash registers as needed by Front End and Customer Service
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/ demands.
  • Computer literate including experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of Point of Sales systems, database management, and data entry
  • Excellent Customer Service.
  • Knowledge of Natural Foods.
  • Deep understanding of co-ops and retail co-op systems
