Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for a Senior IT Application Engineer to join the Information Technology department. The Senior IT Application Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting Planning, Quality, and Logistics enterprise applications for both Mining and Steelmaking [CCSL].

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mining and steelmaking business applications for the Planning, Quality, and Logistics areas.
• Work directly with business management and staff to gather requirements.
• Do analysis, design, documentation, development, testing, and implementation.
• Provide support to business users.
• Adhere to Cliffs standards, practices, and policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Information Technology course of study, or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• 10+ Years of development experience using Microsoft Technologies including:
• Object Oriented Programming
• .Net
• C# &/or VB.net
• Web forms
• Javascript
• SQL Server
• Systems Analysis
• Must be willing to work on-site, 5-days a week (M-F)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Team Lead or Project Management experience.
• Experience developing applications that included the following technologies…
• Oracle database backend:
• SSIS
• Power BI
• AJAX
• Bootstrap
• Azure DevOps
• .Net Core
• MVC
• Entity Framework

• Angular JS
