Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Placing purchase orders and ensuring all KPI’s are met
• Expediting orders and negotiations of lead times
• Ensuring stock is available for production
• Regular data updating to ensure the MRP system is fully assisting in planning materials in bound
• Achieve / exceed budgeted annual Purchasing savings targets
• Mitigate price increases, achieve cost avoidance objectives
• Consolidation of supply chain to develop strategic and tactical partnerships
• Lead contract negotiations, including LTA’s, pricing and service agreements
• Develop ERP modules relative to supply chain to increase agility, reduce working capital and provide an improvement led service to your customer (Operations)
• Achieve policy deployment objectives
• Achieve budgeted working capital objectives
• Project management of supply chain projects
• Spot purchasing
• Lead cost down improvements, involvement with Operations for lean activities
• Control vendor performance system to effectively manage the supply chain
• Perform duties in compliance with company accreditation requirements (AS9100 and ISO17025)
• Development and implementation of supply-chain improvement plans

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Supply Chain Management or related discipline
• 5+ years experience within a manufacturing purchasing environment
• Experience with Aerospace is preferred but not essential
• Experience working with an MRP system
