Our Downtown Ann Arbor Headquarters Is Seeking A Motivated Full-Time Architectural Project Assistant To Join Our Dynamic Team Of Professionals. This Position Will Be Exposed To A Broad Range Of Architectural Projects From Planning And Design Inception Through Construction Completion In Both New Construction, Renovation, And Adaptive Re-Use

Duties And Responsibilities

    Assignments Are Generated And Overseen By Project Managers

    Prepare Complex Architectural Construction Drawings For New Construction, Renovation, And Adaptive Re-Use Projects

    Develop Detailed Construction Documents Utilizing AutoCAD Or Revit

    Design Technical Architectural Solutions For New Construction And Renovation Projects

    Develop And Draft Architectural Details And Plans In Accordance With Client-Specific Standards

    Performs Fieldwork, Documentation, Research And Drafting Tasks Of Architectural Project Data

    Conduct Site Planning And Zoning Research

    Conduct Feasibility And Operating Studies For Variety Of Project Types

    Participate In Shop Drawing Review And Team Or Project Meetings

    Participate In Preparation Of Bid Packages And Permit Applications

    Effectively Communicate And Coordinate With Project Team, Consultants, And Clients

    Maintains Proper Project Filing In Accordance With Hobbs+Black And/Or Client-Specific Standards

    Maintains And Complies With Hobbs+Black Project Standards

    Competent Project Time And Expense Documentation Skills

    Reports To The Project Manager In Charge Of Assigned Project

Essential Functions

    Advanced Knowledge Of Construction Techniques, Construction Documents, And CAD Concepts

    Advanced CAD Drafting Skills

    Technicial Proficiency In Revit Desired

    Technical Ability To Develop, Coordinate, And Review Construction Documents For Design Solutions

    General Understanding Of Building Codes And ADA Requirements

    Ability To Detail Out All Aspects Of A Building Including Sections And Details

    Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite 365, Including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams

    Consistent Ability To Successfully Meet Deadlines

    Effective Oral Presentation Skills

    Ability To Work Independently And With Minimal Supervision

Education Or Experience

    Associate Or Bachelor’s Degree Of Architecture Or Related Field

    3+ Years Of Work Experience In An Architectural Firm

    5+ Years Of 2D And 3D Experience In AutoCAD Architecture Or Revit
