The Pastry Cook should be comfortable in a fast paced kitchen and passionate to learn about the world of baking and pastry. The Pastry Cook should have a basic understanding of pastry/baking techniques and how to work safe and efficiently in a kitchen. The right candidate should be able to follow recipes, work clean, and communicate clearly with their colleagues and manager. The Pastry Cook should be flexible with the ever changing operation of a dynamic resort and should be excited to grow within their career.

Qualifications
· Previous restaurant experience, preferably pastry and or fine dining required.
· Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred.
· Capable of following recipes and able to communicate clearly with coworkers and management.
· Plated dessert experience preferred.
· Ability to multi task and handle pressure.
· Knowledge of vegan desserts, healthier dessert options, and alternative sweeteners preferred.
· Wedding cake or cake decorating experience preferred.
· Knowledge of bread making and baking preferred.
· Knowledge of chocolate and confections preferred.
· Understanding in Pastry fundamentals and technique preferred.
· Willingness and desire to learn and grow.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
