Hand brush, roll and spray paint University buildings, areas, equipment and furniture, including mixing, blending and matching of paints and stains.

Work Performed

Hand brush, roll and spray paint University buildings, areas, equipment and furniture; hang vinyl and decorative wall coverings. Mix, blend and match paint and stains to proper color and consistency. Determine sequences of paint operations and methods to be used including need or advisability for scaffolding and rigging, color blending and matching required, type and amount of materials needed, and areas to be painted according to work orders; estimate time and cost for painting jobs. Perform such typical operations as applying decorative and/or protective finish coats to such office furniture as desks, chairs, and cabinets. Apply trim to office interiors including trim striping, dado work and stippling. Designand paint signs of all types. Make work assignments; review work oflower level employees; assist in training new employees. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
