Healthcare/Vaccination Clinic in Arcadia, CA Seeking Medical Assistants for Back/Front Office
We are a multi-site urgent care and primary care operation seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our healthcare team located in retail space/Arcadia, CA! Candidate must be a Certified Medical Assistant and have experience in busy clinical settings.
Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for supporting the front & back office operations within the Urgent Care and work with the clinical team as follows:
- Front: Receive and direct phone calls
- Front: Check-in patients
- Front: Verify insurance eligibility
- Front: Help maintain smooth clinic workflow and patient throughput
- Back: Collect lab/specime samples for processing
- Back: Perform vaccination administration (COVID, flu, etc.)
- Back: Administer vitamin shots (B-12, etc.)
- Back: Process lab requisitions and report lab results
- Back: Prepare patient room and assist medical team in administering care
- Back: Update patient records on EMR with clinical documentation for encounters
- Front/Back: Perform other clerical tasks and duties
Requirements: Ability to work productively, either independently or with other individuals. Applicants must be efficient, reliable, pleasant, professional, sophisticated, punctual, detail oriented, works well with others, and organized. Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication (both written and verbal) is necessary.
Skills Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant certification. Graduate from an accredited career college. CPR/BLS certification. Knowledge of health care field, medical terminology and excellent computer skills. Aware of common safety hazards and precautions. Skilled in performing tasks appropriately. Establish good working relationships with patients, co-workers, and the public. Ability to react calmly in emergency situations. Valid driver's license.
