Marine Boat Mechanic Job at Tradesmen International, Inc.
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring Marine Boat Mechanics for projects located in and around Annapolis, MD. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $28/hour based on experience & skill level. Job Scope:
- Inspect, maintain, & repair boats of all kinds
- Utilize diagnostic equipment, test & repair boat engines, gas diesel, hulls, propellers, rigging masts, sails, & navigational equipment
- Install & test sanitation & refrigeration systems, cabinetry electrical systems, steering gear & accessories
- Troubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove, & install vessel systems and components
- Conduct thorough assessment prior to starting a job including acknowledging the budgeted time & time frame for completion, proving the system & the element requiring servicing sourcing parts if required
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- 5+ Years of Experience Preferred
- ABYC and/or Manufacturer Certification
- Hand Tools & Proper PPE
- Overall knowledge of marine systems including electrical, plumbing water systems such as electrical electronics, HVAC, plumbing, water systems, fresh salt, waste, gas, & diesel engines
- Must follow SHM safety & environmental rules & complete required related training
- Ability to overtime as needed
- Ability to work on ladders, carry 50lbs & tools, & work in confined spaces
