HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

• Maintain the uniformity of inventory and processes
• Maintain all compliance documentation required by local, state, and federal agencies
• Audit and reconcile all required documentation, including electronic documents, such as:
• Driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), record of duty status logs, and bus checkout sheets
• Review completion, compliance, and accuracy of documentation collected, and work closely with drivers to make corrections as needed
• Cross-examine logs with GPS records if applicable
• Manage electronic logging, hours of service, act as a resource to train drivers and office staff
• Maintain, update, and collect driver credentials records, driver's credentials lists, and drug and alcohol logs
• Train all new drivers during the on-boarding process
• Inspect and audit electronic logging devices (ELD) and safety equipment
• Collect all training documentation to respective personnel
• Enroll new driver hires in required programs such as Samba Safety, Drug & Alcohol, and A-Suite
• Assist with the creation of new policies and procedures
• Assist with record inspections for all CHP terminal inspections, DOT and/or DOD inspections
• Work with Manager to interface with regulatory agencies to formulate corrective actions
• Conduct documented training with driver workforce who fail to comply with company policies and practices as it pertains to proper completion of all regulatory documentation and safety practices
• Work in conjunction with the Safety and Operations department on accident/incident investigations
• Work in conjunction with the Safety, Operations and Human Resources departments on reports of employee injuries and vehicular incidents ensuring that all safety regulations and codes are maintained throughout and at all levels of the company
• Liaise with the respective operations team to ensure accurate account of all details surrounding vehicular accidents
• Communicate with the respective operations team to address safety and compliance concerns
• Provide daily recaps based on information template provided by Management
• Maintain an up-to-date listing of units and assigned drivers and trainees
• Perform a variety of clerical support duties as assigned:
• Type correspondence, memos and other items, compile data from clearly defined sources and prepare reports, answer telephone, route calls or messages, prepare and process requisitions
• Protect organization reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential
• Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
• Utilize software programs to assist in providing vehicle information, mileage, registrations, insurance, etc.
• Work jointly with internal and external maintenance teams to ensure vehicles are safe to operate
• Conduct safety inspections for all current and new vehicles added to fleet
• Place all necessary documents into vehicles including, but not limited to, license plate, proof of insurance, weight certification, etc.
• Perform monthly audits to confirm all vehicles are compliant

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

• Valid Class C Driver’s License
• Valid class A or B California Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsement, preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of safety or compliance experience
• Previous supervisory experience

SCHEDULE:

• Monday- Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with overtime if needed

SALARY:

• The salary range that Sun Diego Charter reasonably expects to pay for the position is $65,000-$85,000 yearly.
