Job Description

As our Enterprise Solution Architect you will be an active member on project teams playing a hands-on role in producing client solutions. You will be encouraged to continue to develop your skills, share your knowledge with team members and peers and effectively lead work streams on multiple client engagements. A successful Enterprise Solution Architect is highly adaptable, shows strong initiative, is able to work independently, has a driving desire to grow professionally towards specific goals, and is energized by working in a team environment. This position requires a focus on client and team success, client-facing skills and a strong understanding of the project lifecycle and software development lifecycle. You must be a self-motivated individual and take pride in delivering high quality work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to translate business requirements into system requirements, design specifications and document new and/or existing application requirements. Ensure that new or existing systems meet business requirements and practices and that all application interface issues/concerns are understood, documented and addressed satisfactorily
• Works closely with business partners on providing a POV on technical and process recommendations and solutions
• Ensure deliverables are of the highest quality
• Prepares estimates for complex projects to provide management with information needed to accurately forecast project delivery dates
• Assist in the mentoring, training and development of team technical skills
• Expertly performs design and development of third party (backend) integrations like Address/Shipping/Tax validation, Payment, CRM, OMS, PIM
• Participates in cross-functional efforts to build out web application platforms
• Works with technical teams to devise or modify procedures/processes to solve complex problems
• Experience with B2C and B2B, multi-site and multi-country, end-to-end implementations of eCommerce applications
• Act as a sales engineer both for new Ecommerce projects and within existing client accounts; assess client requests and propose solutions, estimates and alternatives
• Provide effort estimates and solution approaches for sales scenarios.
• Position solutions and options to client business stakeholders
• Play a direct role in client communications and expectation/scope management.
• Play a senior consulting role for specific areas of domain expertise; working towards industry visibility.
• Contribute to and execute on processes and practices towards delivery excellence, team happiness & client satisfaction.

Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related functional business area or equivalent experience
• At least 10 years of enterprise-level programming.
• Experienced in B2B, B2C, multi-site and multi-country, end-to-end implementations of eCommerce applications
• Strong ability to balance multiple responsibilities and take initiative
• Ability to perform in a fast paced and highly interactive team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as problem solving skills
• Flexible, team oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and passionate
• Ability to communicate, produce documentation, prepare and lead client sessions, etc.
• Ability to sell technical concepts, sell our team and our capabilities to business stakeholders
• Working experience with a leading Ecommerce platform(s) including but not limited to:
  • Salesforce / Adobe / SAP Commerce Cloud, Shopify, ATG / Oracle Commerce. Big Commerce, Commercetools, ElasticPath.
• Working experience integrating with but not limited to:
  • ERP; SAP, Oracle, etc
  • OMS: Fluent, Netsuite, Manhattan
  • Middleware; Apigee, Pentaho, Mulesoft, Boomi, Celigo
  • Marketplaces: Mirakl, Marketplacer, Atonit, VTEX
  • PIM: Akeneo, Inriver, Pimcore
  • CMS: Acquia, Contentful Contenstack
• Designing technical architecture, including:
  • Solution architecture of commerce systems and integrations
  • Solution infrastructure, including recommending and validating servers, databases, load balancing, performance metrics, etc.
• Knowledge of agile principles – scrum, backlog, etc.
• Agency experience a plus
• Hands-on experience in publishing and consuming web services.
• Experience and desire to work in the Global offshore/onshore model
• Experience in working with NoSQL databases is a plus.
