We are looking for Director, Talent Development to join our Human Resources team.

Major Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for the development and execution of company programs in the areas of talent development & learning, leadership and mentorship, performance management, employee engagement, and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion). Duties include or are comparable to the following:

  • Sets the strategic direction for talent development activities aligned with the overall company and Human Resources strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Oversees the development and administration of company-wide talent development plans and programs, including programs designed to enhance interpersonal relations and communications, facilitate career development and enhance leadership effectiveness. Regularly reviews training programs throughout the company to ensure their quality and effectiveness.
  • Researches, recommends, and implements methods of identifying, developing, and retaining top talent (such has high potential programs, career pathing programs, succession planning, mentorship/sponsorship programs, etc.) to further Jenny Craig’s talent bench strength and provide succession planning throughout the organization.
  • Mentors company leaders in developing effective talent management skills, and in establishing their talent strategy and organizational design. Works proactively to drive decision making down to the front-line level by empowering and training leaders. Serves as a partner and coach on employee development to managers within the organization.
  • Selects, designs, and delivers management and leadership training, professional skills training, and workshops to meet customized departmental needs; manages the development and ongoing delivery of business-related training primarily led by subject matter experts within the organization.
  • Recommends and implements training programs to build cultural awareness and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the company.
  • Oversees the firm’s new-hire and new-supervisor onboarding program and training; creates/develops/delivers corporate orientation; help ensures a well-organized, positive onboarding experience.
  • Researches and recommends external vendors to build training programs or deliver specific training topics when appropriate.
  • Partners with the Human Resources team on projects related to employee retention, recognition, and engagement
  • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive, professional, team-oriented, harassment-free work environment by understanding and complying with the Company’s policies, by demonstrating the Company’s values, and being a role model for the Company Brand.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in talent development, learning, or organizational development.
  • Strong background in company-wide program development, including experience in instructional design and course/program facilitation.
  • Must have robust experience developing and facilitating Leadership Training Programs.
  • Experience working with a learning management system (LMS); Cornerstone/SABA LMS preferred.
  • Experience using instructional design software, Articulate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in talent and organizational development - firm grasp of how they impact company performance
