We are currently seeking clinical phlebotomist's & MA's to join our team at one of our many locations! Position is primarily for our Eden Prairie location and may include an occasional rotation between the multiple clinics within a reasonable distance from your home. Clinic Hours: Eden Prairie: Monday-Friday:7am-7pm and Saturday/Sunday: 8am-4pm. Albertville: Monday-Friday:7am-7pm and Saturday/Sunday: 8am-4pm. Burnsville, and Woodbury: Monday - Friday: 8am-6pm and Saturday 8am-4pm. Alexandria: Monday - Friday 8am-6pm. Position will include an occasional weekend rotation.

Purpose of Job: This position is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities to assist providers. Facilitates patient/physician/provider communication and coordination of care.

Job Functions:

• Escorts patients to examination room and obtains vitals and documents in EMR.
• Answers phone calls and retrieves patient conditions/concerns/questions and reports those to provider. Returns calls with providers recommendations.
• Administers prescribed medications/vaccine’s and treatments in accordance with clinic policies and scope of certification/licensure. Preforms EKG's and other clinical procedures.
• Prepares equipment and assists providers during examination, testing and treatment of patients.
• Performs room turn over in patient rooms between cases and at the end of day.
• Assists in maintaining stocked supplies and sterilizes instruments/exam rooms.
• Assists in arranging referrals/prior authorizations as necessary.
• Assists with patient education.
• Assists with the training and orientation of new staff.
• Serves as Lab when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Current CPR Certification
• Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
• Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations.
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate from Medical Assisting program or School of Practical Nursing
• Clinic experience
