Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital (HMNH) is looking for a Director of Performance Excellence to join their team. HMNH is a 357 bed acute care, independent not-for-profit hospital with a Level II Trauma Center as well as a STEMI and Designated Stroke Program. Our facility supports 71 specialties and sub-specialties.

The Clinical Manager Perianesthesia will report to our Senior Director of Perioperative Services who is a very, dedicated, knowledgeable and well respected executive. This Clinical Manager of Perianesthesia will also have a proven track record in being:

· well versed in the financial side, dealing with issues related to productivity, budget management, supply cost and forecasting.

This nurse manager will oversee approximately 70 staff with 3 direct reports covering both inpatient and outpatient services and locations. They will help oversee a department that does about 10,500 procedures a year with only 4 inpatient and 4 outpatient suites.

In collaboration with the Senior Director, the clinical nurse manager will have accountability for the 24 hour day-to-day management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards, unit strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the Department and the organization as a whole.

This Manager of Perianesthesia role is focused upon the daily operations of their respective assigned areas in order to achieve safe and effective patient care delivery, service excellence, accreditation, financial responsiveness and patient care satisfaction. .

Licensure and Certification:

· Current California RN License

· Current BLS provider card

· Current ACLS Provider card

· Current PALS Provider card

· National Certification in clinical area of expertise preferred

Education:

· BSN prepared

· Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred) or a related field

· Membership in Professional Organization preferred

Experience:

· Five (5) or more years of acute hospital experience with progressive clinical leadership experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

· State and Federal regulations, including Title 22 and all other regulatory requirements.

· Effective oral and written communication skills;

· Excellent intradepartmental communication skills and interaction with patients and their families; hospital and medical staff;

· Analytical skills.

· Knowledge of supervisory theories, principles, practices, techniques and methods.

· Ability to manage staff and change through collaborative and positive leadership skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members, hospital staff, physicians and patients.

· Demonstrated ability in interpersonal relationships which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development.

· Skill and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence for the specific age and type of patient population served.

· Ability to understand and lead departmental culture change.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58.40 - $93.44 per hour
