Automotive Office Manager - Large/National Automotive Group - Chicago, IL
A US top 50 privately held Automotive Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive Office Manager for our downtown Chicago location. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join us as a key member of our Management structure, leading our centralized accounting team.
If you are an experienced Automotive Office Manager with a strong background in auto dealership operations we want to talk to you. We are looking for sharp, energetic, motivated and hard working team players that can integrate with our experienced staff members.
Job Responsibilities;
- Hire, train, and manage accounting staff including Billing, Accounting, License and title, Payroll
- Review current and suggest improvement for compliance with internal controls, government regulations and manufacturer programs
- Review financial statements and schedules, work with accounting staff to keep records accurate and current
- Work with department managers to assist in running our business and maximizing profitability
Job Requirements;
- Prior automotive dealership Office Manager or Controller experience
- Experience with dealership accounting systems
- Proven experience leading an accounting team
- Experience with manufacturer compliance and financial statement submission
- Strong communication, leadership, training and organizational skills
- Integrity and loyalty and a long term commitment to help us grow our business
- Accounting degree or business equivalent
- Some local travel required
- Valid drivers license, bondable, pass background check and screening
