Education and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA Certification required
  • Minimum 5 years experience with a CPA firm, providing both tax and accounting services to clients
  • Experience coaching and managing Tax Staff
  • Skilled in managing client relationship and building retention through referrals
  • Present as a polished professional with strong interpersonal communication skills
  • “Roll up your sleeves and get it done” hands-on attitude
  • Record of leadership, management skills and effective communication with a great positive mental

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tax returns, individual and corporate
    • Prepare and review complex tax planning projections for individual and corporate estimated tax
    • Prepare and review complex S. and multi-state income tax returns for business entities, including consolidated and non-consolidated C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, Fiduciary and Non- Profit organizations as well as high net worth individuals.
  • Manage strong and successful relationship with clients
    • Communicate directly with existing clients, colleagues, management, and IRS representatives regarding various tax
    • Manage and monitor client deliverables and due dates for tax
  • Management of the tax department team, including ongoing training.
    • Delegate projects to staff that can handle them most efficiently and provide accounting and tax assistance to staff as
  • Manage response (delete staff delegation) to IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax Communicate with IRS and clients in connection with audits, inquiries and tax notices.
  • Assist with business development efforts, including but not limited to, meeting with prospective clients, preparing fee quotes, proposals and engagements, and evaluating client’s
  • Client Relations Manager responsibilities include: Building long-term relationships with key clients. Addressing customer concerns and complaints. Creating sales plans to generate revenue.
