Cargo Ramp Agent - Morning Shift
Jackson Jet Center has immediate openings for part-time (12 hours per week) Cargo Ramp Agents. Hours are as follows:

Morning Shift:

Currently Tuesday-Friday, 4:00AM-7:00AM

This is an ideal job for college students or those seeking a secondary income. We offer a tuition reimbursement program for our employees, covering 50% of tuition up to $5,250 per year for employees who work 24+ hours a week, and 100% of tuition up to $5,250 per year for employees working 30+ hours per week. Must be employed for 3 months prior to the start of the semester to qualify. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans are available to all employees working 20+ hours per week.

Jackson Jet holds a ground service contract with UPS Airlines, and the primary function of this position is to load and unload freight and cargo containers from UPS aircraft, with and without mechanical assistance. Ramp Agents must be able to think on their feet and work quickly. We value our Ramp Agents and their role is imperative in contributing to the companies continued success. Responsibilities include:

* Operating ground handling equipment for the loading and unloading of Airbus A300, Boeing B757, and Boeing B767 cargo aircraft;
* Load/unload pallets of freight using deck loaders, belt loaders, tugs, and forklifts;
* Transport freight containers between aircraft and air terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft;
* Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags;
* Operate and fuel motorized equipment including cargo and belt loaders, lift trucks, ramp tractors and aircraft loading systems;
* People oriented, highly motivated with a positive and cooperative attitude;
* Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations;
* Ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner with peers and all other department personnel.

Both computer-based and hands-on training is used to train new employees.

Physical and outside work environment subject to adverse weather conditions. Work is always conducted in teams, both to ensure safe work methods and to help each other move heavy items.

Must be 17 or older to apply. An offer of employment will be contingent on successfully completing a background check. MUST HAVE NO FELONIES.
