Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Specialist (ARFF) Job at LGSTX Services
Shift: Wed thru Sat 1800-0400hrs. 4 X 10 HOUR SHIFTS
What you will do:
The ARFF Specialist will ensure that emergency equipment is continuously maintained in a high state of readiness; provide currency training as necessary; ensure ARFF team members provide rapid response to emergencies; provide first aid to ARFF victims as necessary; perform other duties as necessary.
What you need:
- Must have HSD/GED
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass an MVR background check
- State Firefighting course level 1 or equivalent
- Ability to complete 40 hour FAA approved ARFF course
- Ability to complete FAA annual/recurrent burn training
- Certified EMT-B
- Ability to pass a Medical Pulmonary Function test and annual OSHA physical
- Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
- Communicate effectively
- Work in adverse outdoor weather conditions
- Wear a respirator safety protective equipment as indicated
- Lift objects weighing various amounts weighing up to 65 lbs.
- Perform work at heights
Preferred Skills:
- Prefer certification as a First-Aid and CPR Instructor
- Firefighter course level 2
- 1 year experience responding to medical emergencies
- Experience in testing/inspection of building sprinkler and alarm systems per NFPA standards.
