Warehouse and Sales Team Member Job at Fireplace Center of Billings
Job Summary:
Help customers in person and over the phone. Sales knowledge and ability to make recommendations to customers while maintaining a safe, clean and orderly warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations:
- – Promptly meet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
- – Obtain the correct parts and accessories for both the technician and retail in a timely manner
- – Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and transfer the information to the proper document and computer system.
- – Answer telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller's inquiry.
- – Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
- – Receive and respond to customer complaints.
- – Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing.
- – Inform customers by mail or telephone of order information, such as unit prices, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
- – Obtain customers' names, addresses, and billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased, and enter this information on order forms.
- – Recommend merchandise or services that will meet customers' needs.
- – Collect payment for merchandise, record transactions, and send items, such as checks or money orders for further processing.
- – Stock incoming inventory in the correct location
- – Maintain the front and back of house in clean and orderly manner.
- – Provide customers with needed information and offer additional sales opportunities.
- – Create and maintain merchandising display to promote product sales
WAREHOUSE DUTIES:
- – Use of fork lift to load/unload freight trucks
- – Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for product, and loading.
- – Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets for loading.
- – Loads trucks, vans, and other vehicles for distribution of product to customers.
- – Marks product with identifying information using appropriate method.
Minimum Qualifications (Experience/Education):
- – high school diploma or a prerequisite with a year’s work experience in a front counter sales position.
Competencies or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

- – Intermediate written and oral communication skills
- – Must be self-motivated, accurate, courteous, trustworthy, and well mannered.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
- The work environment and physical demands described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:
- – Regularly required to use hands and to reach with hands and arms.
- – Must frequently sit, walk, stand, kneel, or stoop.
- – Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- – Occasionally exposed to work in wet or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat (non-weather), as well as outdoor weather conditions.
- – Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
