This technician would be responsible for, but not limited to, diagnosis, recondition, overhaul and maintenance of heavy equipment and/or components, automobile repair, diesel repair, hydraulic repair. This would also require occasional travel to Construction locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
While performing this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasionally exposure to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites occurs. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The performance of work happens in outside weather conditions. Mitigate these hazards or stop work until conditions improve when applicable. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation. JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Repairs and provides maintenance on heavy equipment engines and components including trouble shooting
- Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains vehicles and equipment
- Order replacement parts, ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at time of ordering
- Remove, disassemble, assemble, and installs components and parts
- Diagnose and repair machine and engine malfunctions and failures
- Ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
- Some welding and fabrication
- Communicates effectively with Co Workers, and/or Management to ensure problems, nature of repair, and status of repairs are understood and followed through
- Works in cooperative manner with other team members to accomplish the goals of the shop and American Eagle Ready Mix Utah
- Use safe working practices and follow all safety requirements
- Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and fit for duty test
- Be able to maintain good attendance daily
- Must have flexibility in work hours
- Must have experience in automobile repair, diesel repair, hydraulic repair and general construction equipment repair, any education in this area a plus
- Valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Have or be able to obtain a DOT Medical card
- Capable of communicating effectively and professionally with others
- Have your own tools and transportation
- Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
- Demonstrate neck range of motion within normal limits (flexion and extension 60°, lateral flexion 40° and rotation 70°)
- Lift objects of various dimensions and weights.
- Ability to operate hand controls with both hands.
- Ability to operate foot pedals with both feet.
- Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching.
- Ability to use vibration tools.
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
- Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels.
- Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 14 feet.
