Essential Responsibilities

• Clean wet, dry and load out department buildings
• Safely operate equipment such as; front end loaders, excavators, haul trucks, skid steer, dingo, backhoe, forklift, telehandler, or bulldozers to scoop sand away from buildings, conveyors, bearings, equipment and under silos

· Perform appropriate pre-shift workplace and equipment examinations

· Reports major repairs and safety improvements needed via pre-shifts and supervisor

· Grease and fuel equipment when needed

· Grease bearings and pulleys as needed

• Responsible for cleaning and dumping the dust collectors and waste
• Collect Sand samples when needed
• Perform some plant maintenance as directed, including assisting shift mechanic with repairs as extra set of hands
• Responsible for maintaining facility grounds; including snow removal and operating mower
• Perform routine plant clean up tasks as directed
• May drive a pick-up truck or maintenance vehicle in the plant and/or to pick-up parts from local vendors
• Perform QC sampling as needed

· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Previous experience operating a skid steer loader, forklift, bobcat or other small power equipment preferred
• Maintain safe, neat, and orderly work areas in and around the facility

· Ability to communicate with Plant Operator and Shift Supervisor

• Follow safe work practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and as described during training

Physical Requirements

· Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, stoop, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects

· Ability to operate hand controls with both hands

· Ability to operate mobile equipment, foot pedals with both feet

· Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching

· Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather

· Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels

· Ability to work in cramped quarters

· Lift objects of various dimensions and weights

· Lift up to 50 pounds, carry up to 150 feet

· Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 150 feet

· Vision: normal depth perception, vision and ability to distinguish color

Working Conditions

· All duties require outside assignments and require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.

· Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs
