Job Description
Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the Swim Lesson Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of members, patrons and program participants in the aquatics department. The Swim Lesson Supervisor will also be responsible for assisting the Director in assuring the development, operation, and administration of all levels of swim lesson programming. This includes but is not limited to: Organizing & implementing all multi-level swim lessons, adult lessons, swim lesson volunteers and serve as a substitute instructor for water fitness classes, ensuring compliance with all YMCA standards, federal and state laws, and oversight of facility pool(s) and equipment.
This position will Assist Aquatic Director with scheduling programs including 2nd grade swim lessons, pool parties, swim team practices and service contracts with outside user groups. Additionally, in the summer, oversee the development, promotion and delivery of swim lessons.
Serves as a swim lesson instructor, teaching at various levels as assigned and substituting for other instructors as needed.
Assists with the development, coordination, promotion and evaluation of aquatic programming.
The Y will train. CPR Certified and experience working with children is a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
