Join a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex systems within Honeywell. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will have ownership for systems at every aspect of the systems life cycle; from the front end of business development through product end of life. You will work across disciplines within the Engines and Power Systems business to drive growth and reach critical business milestones.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of propulsion turbine engine fuel control system. You will serve as a technical focal point, a mentor to less experienced engineers, and a consultant to leadership on technical matters related to the control system requirements and features. The propulsion control system group will rely on you to not only ensure the requirements and features are correct and appropriate, but also reusable by multiple applications and programs.
Key Responsibilities
Disciplined requirements-based engineering of the turbine engine control system requirements, including:
Requirements analysis
Requirements decomposition
Requirements validation and verification
Change management
Effective coordination and communication with:
Multi-disciplinary requirements and design teams
Systems engineering teams
Project management organizations
Internal customers
Strategic re-use of requirements and features across multiple programs
Continuous improvement in development cost and time efficiency
Technical oversight of:
System requirement development
Fuel control system and component requirement development
Fuel control hardware component design
Requirements management infrastructure development
 YOU MUST HAVE
 Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
 5+ years engineering experience
 WE VALUE
 Background in systems engineering and requirements development
 Background in turbine engine fuel control systems
 Experience with turbine engine controls
 Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and RPE
 Experience with ARP4754AExperience with ARP4754A, DO-254, DO-160, and/or DO-178C development processes
 Knowledge of the product development lifecycle
 Individuals that quickly analyze and apply new information and concepts
 Leading diverse and global team
 Individuals who are self-motivated, able to work with little supervision, and who consistently take the initiative to get things done
 Ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks, situations, and people
 Making autonomous decisions
