Production and Installation Specialist

Signs Now Mundelein is looking for a self-motivated individual with great interpersonal skills to join our team as a Production and Installation Specialist. This person must be detail-oriented and be able to efficiently manage multiple projects. We are looking for a team player who values delivering excellence.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Fabricate interior and exterior signs and graphics using vinyl, metal, wood, acrylic, and plastics. (This is a “working with your hands” type position)
• Responsible for preparing materials and producing all graphic/signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline.
• Responsible for operating the laminator, panel saw, drill press, and vinyl cutter.
• Responsible for specified graphic/signage installations at the client’s site.
• Make specified sign order deliveries as needed.
• Assist with on-site signage inspection and sign measuring tasks.
• Assist with walk-in clients and answering phones as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area
• Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs
• Learn new technologies, skills and techniques necessary to meet customer’s needs
• Any and all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

• Full-time availability (40 hours/week, M-F)
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record
• Proficiency in using power tools (drills, saws, impact drivers, etc.)
• Must be able to read a tape measure and interpret various measurements
• Must be able to climb a ladder and work at various heights (up to 15 ft)
• Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to work independently and as an integral team member

The following are desired but not mandatory

• Previous carpentry, construction, or handy-man experience
• Previous experience in the sign/graphic industry
• Knowledge of sign/graphic industry substrates, media, and products
• Ability to prepare files for print
• Experience with wide-format digital printing, vinyl plotting, laminating, and/or Onyx RIP operation
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software (Illustrator and Photoshop specifically)
• Vehicle wrap installation
• Experience with CoreBridge workflow management software
• Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
