Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our Customer Service team to drive business results, evaluate opportunities, interface with corporate FP&A, senior finance leaders, and develop business performance reporting and analytics. You will need to be a detail-oriented self-starter with experience working in an ambiguous environment, preferably within an e-commerce organization, including rolling up your sleeves to complete complex business analysis and operating at depth. You will be responsible for supporting the corporate budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes, while also innovating to refine financial models and strategic goals to incorporate new learnings and new data. Additionally, you will work alongside cross functional business units to influence new analyses, insights, and investment prioritization.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the Customer Service Healthcare and WOW teams to develop business and finance plans, determine key input and output metrics, and support the business in creating profitability analyses and strategic analyses to evaluate key investments
  • Support weekly and monthly financial business reviews, including reviewing results vs. plan, forecast for management meetings, creating future output guidance to leadership, and establishing plans with C-Suite to address disconnects between actuals and plan
  • Support creation of financial models (monthly forecasting, NPV, ROI, payback, etc.) and maintain and enhance existing financial models and supporting schedules on a monthly basis, driving improvements to budgeting and forecasting accuracy
  • Assist with the preparation and consolidation of the corporate budget, forecast and long-term outlook, including identifying and quantifying the risks and opportunities faced by the business
  • Oversee month-end close process and manage/track financial performance against KPI’s, seasonal financial plans, and annual budget
  • Conduct complex ad-hoc analyses, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analyses, to drive decision-making for Customer Service initiatives
  • Collaborate cross functionally with business partners (i.e. Healthcare, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Merchandising, Business Intelligence) to enhance forecasting accuracy and to improve budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Extract and analyze data from central databases using Hyperion, SQL, and Tableau

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar required
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Advanced Excel (e. VLOOKUP/Index Match, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.), data visualization, and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, key performance indicators, and variance analysis
  • Understanding of GAAP and financial statements
  • Results-oriented mentality, highly energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on mentality
  • Strong Communication skills – ability to distill and convey complex information clearly and succinctly
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing operating conditions while still delivering to expectations
  • Ability to drill down to the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture

Bonus:

  • Previous experience supporting a Customer Service business unit
  • Experience with Hyperion SmartView, Oracle ERP, Tableau, and SQL
  • Strategy consulting firm experience (BCG, Bain, McKinsey)
