Senior Accounting Specialist

The job duties include, but are not limited to:
· Working knowledge and maintenance of general ledgers.
· Reconciliation of accounts.
· Monthly sales tax reporting.
· Quarterly Payroll tax reporting.
· Yearly IRS reporting (W2s, 1099s, etc.).
· AP & AR.
· Collaboration with outside auditors.
· GL audits, Workers Comp audits, sales tax audits.
· 401K maintenance and new employee setup.
· COGS/inventory maintenance.
· HR responsibilities- onboarding & processing new employee paperwork, handling termination paperwork, recordkeeping, and staying on top of the changing laws & regulations.
· Some management of subordinate employees exists.
Qualifications:
· Bookkeeping & accounting experience required.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business is a plus.
· Experience with QuickBooks.
· Proficient with Excel spreadsheets.
· Strong written communication skills.
· Proactive, self-starter, highly motivated.
· High level of organization and attention to detail.
· Trustworthy.
· Business professionalism and maturity with ability to interact with company owners, market managers, CPA, vendors, customers, and others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
