Pay Range: $26.56 - $44.35 / hour

Unit Details :
The Coronary Care Unit is a 21-bed intensive care unit that provides care to critically ill patients with arrhythmias, cardiogenic shock, acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiomyopathy, post cardiac arrest, intra-aortic balloon pump therapy, left ventricular assist device, angioplasty with stent, ablation therapy, and Impella devices. This unit features a fast-paced, positive environment where the whole team supports each other’s growth and development. This unit recently earned a Nursing Communication HCAHPS performance domain score of Level 5 for delivering excellent care and achieving high levels of patient satisfaction. Cardiology/heart surgery at UAB is consistently listed as one of the nation's top 50 programs by U.S. News & World Report. From hypertension to heart transplant, and everything in between, UAB's nationally ranked Cardiovascular Institute offers the full spectrum of cardiovascular care.

- Full-Time AM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-Time PM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-Time Weekend AM and PM
- Part-Time Weekend AM and PM
- Flexi/PRN

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
