About us:

Pie Jacked is a Top 9 Allergen Free bakery, specializing in delicious gluten-free pies, with cookies, coffee cakes, breads, and other goodies.
We work directly with a lot of immunocompromised customers and are still following Covid safety protocols including having a fully vaccinated staff, requiring staff to wear mask while customer facing, and monitoring CDC guidelines for further best practices based on community spread and case count.

Our current, operating hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am-4pm/close and Saturdays 9:00am-2pm/close.

We’re hiring either full time (5 days per week) or part time (minimum 2 days per week). We keep a set schedule weekly with the flexibility of understanding life happens for things like emergency dentist appointments and picking up kids early.

Monthly bonuses average adding from $1-$2+ per hour (November of 2022 was around $3.40 per hour more). Hourly rate based on experience and job performance.

Responsibilities and Duties

This position is flexible with front end attention and assisting the bakers in the kitchen. This position includes assisting customers in person and on the phone, keeping the front case stocked with product and paper goods, keeping the front end clean and presentable, assisting the bakers with portioning and packaging, cleaning, set up and breaking down, expo, and other assistance. This position can shift into more of a baking focus as well.

Qualifications and Skills
Must be able to:
*In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
*Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
*Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
*Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
*Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
*Ability to use tools and equipment with proper training, including box cutters, large mixers, pie press, and other kitchen equipment and machinery.
*Must be able to lift 50-60 pounds regularly
*Must be able to follow written instructions and recipes, and follow example based direction
*Must be self directed after training period
*Must pass safety review of equipment
*Must pass food handler safety test and get certificate (we will help with this process if you don't have it already)
*Must meet the standards of cleanliness for our facility
*Must fit in with the culture of our kitchen
*Must understand food allergen cross contamination risks and how to minimize risk
*Must be able to work around our ingredients safely and be able to taste test product for quality control

Holiday Hours

We work hard leading up to the holidays, and earn a break. We are family oriented and our facility is closed and we do NOT work on Thanksgiving day, Black Friday (Thanksgiving weekend), or Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, and limited or no hours on Independence Day.
