Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all electric work is installed per plan, national code, and local code amendments
• Ask questions to determine the severity of an electrical problem
• Choose an array of tools and materials according to the repair work that needs to be done
• Confer with customers to determine their electrical repair needs
• Read and interpret blueprints and cabinet details to ensure correct location of electrical devices
• Replace faulty wires and parts to ensure that the new ones are in proper working order
• Inspect electrical systems and components to determine condition and identify needed repairs
• Install a variety of electrical system components such as lighting, switches, circuits, panels, and outlets
• Identify hazards or defects in electrical systems by performing inspections
• Plan layout of electrical wiring and equipment keeping in mind local building codes and project specifications
• Direct the work of apprentices to ensure that work orders are completed properly and in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

• Two (2) years of experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
• Possesses and maintains required tools
• Good customer service and problem-solving skills
• Ability to get along with others
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment criminal, driving, and drug screen

Required Education:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Valid Texas electrical apprentice or journeyman or wireman license
