Title: Renewable Operations Center Operator II

Miller Bros. Solar is a top-5 solar O&M service provider in the US with headquarters in Conshohocken, PA. Our team of engineers, operators, and field technicians combine to present our customers with over 50 years of solar PV experience.

The Renewable Operations Center Operator is part of the Miller Bros Solar O&M department and will be responsible for monitoring and operating photovoltaic powerplants and battery energy storage systems to maximize safety and productivity.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor performance and alarms for photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems using computer systems and DAS platforms.
• Ability to interpret, document, and communicate emergent issues per structured escalation paths.
• Work in 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 staffed operations center
• Communicate with site teams and utilities to ensure safe operations in a compliant environment.
• Understand and comply with applicable NERC standards and procedures.
• Update and maintain operating procedures to support evolving tools and growth.
• Lead training of new recruits and annual retraining.

Experience:

Minimum:

• Three years relevant energy industry experience in operations / maintenance; or college degree in technical or engineering field.
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft products.
• SCADA systems knowledge preferred, not required.
• Able to communicate effectively to internal and external parties.
• Experience performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Required to pass a background check.

Required Skills:

• Ability to coordinate multiple activities while ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Ability to take direction, identify problems, develop solutions, conduct analysis independently and in collaboration with others.
• Ability to document work and communicate clearly and accurately via verbal and written methods.
• Ability to lead 1:1 and small team training in operations processes.
• Ability to be lead operator in multidiscipline teams during testing periods and utility outages.
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays on a 12-hour rotation.
• Prefer candidate holds an active PJM Certification. If not, must obtain within 90-days.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
