Lakewood Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery located in Garland, Texas. We recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary, and are coming up on our 1 year anniversary for our new on-site kitchen! We are looking for a talented and passionate weekend Line Cook/Food Runner to join our team. Shifts will be weekly Friday-Sundays.
The Line Cook/Food Runner will work closely with our kitchen staff to ensure a fabulous guest experience by ensuring all food meets or exceeds our guests’ expectations. The ideal candidate will embody an attitude and passion for continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure quality and consistency of all food preparation, while being mindful of speed and presentation
- Plate quickly and accurately
- Move swiftly from one dish to the next
- Ensure the final plate matches what the guest ordered
- Experience with vegetable and sauce preparation
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Daily commitment to time management, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Customer service: deliver dishes to brewery customers and offer additional add-on items.
Special Skills and Certifications
- 1 year line cook experience
- 1-3 years customer service experience
- Food Handler certified
- Positive attitude
- Self-Motivated

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job: Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and move 165 lb. kegs of beer. Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend repeatedly throughout shift.
