Provider Services Specialist

Burnett is so excited to be partnering with a booming healthcare organization in South Austin! Our client is a rapidly growing administration, management and marketing company offering support to non-profit trade associations. They are currently seeking a Provider Services Specialist to join their team supporting their Healthcare Sharing Ministry contact center.

Summary/Objective:

The Provider Services Team is dedicated to building relationships with providers and members. The team is dedicated to deploying innovative solutions along with proven methods to drive down the cost of medical needs. The Provider Services Specialist?s primary function is to protect the escrow account and work with providers and members to negotiate the costs of medical needs down to an acceptable and reasonable rate. The Provider Services Specialist is expected to stay involved in all aspects of networking, negotiating, and setting up direct agreements with providers, provider?s offices, and facilities/hospitals.

Essential Duties:

Contact member or parent/guardian of member and explain the negotiations process and answer questions

Evaluate information and select best plan of action to pursue an agreeable settlement

Contact the billing staff where services were rendered and pursue resolution on medical needs

Capture detailed notes and names with contact phone numbers on each call

Input member information and settlement/discount information into fillable negotiations forms

Maintain good communication with members, providers, and management during the negotiation process

Regularly follow up with provider to work towards a reasonable settlement

Contact Providers and facilities to recruit them into the Provider Community

Input and update provider and facility information in the Provider Community Platform

Send unresolved network issues or discount issues to management

Assist members with provider access as needed

Maintain knowledge and understanding of Health Share membership programs

Proficient and timely handling of negotiations cases according to current SLA and SOP

Case & program research of facility and self-pay information

Stay informed on all negotiations methods and utilize judgement to strategize and attain best possible outcome

Perform administrative duties such as filing and faxing paperwork, writing root cause analysis when necessary

Skills Required:

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Work independently and in a team environment

Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365

Experience with Salesforce preferred

Professional with the ability to properly handle confidential information

Strong active listening and negotiations skills are required

Excellent writing and communication skills

Must be detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Ability to handle multiple tasks, and prioritize

Must be able to remain professional during situations of dispute or conflict

Escalate unresolved issues to the Management

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Claims/Negotiations experience preferred

Customer service experience required

Healthcare experience preferred

Associates or higher degree preferred

Pay/Schedule/Location:

This is a contract-to-hire role.

Client site is located in South Austin, 78746, and is on site

Pay will be $17-$20/hr DOE

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
