Solid LLC, is a Carpentry Subcontracting firm that has been in business for over 50 years. We do custom stick-built carpentry framing and finishing of larger, custom houses and smaller commercial buildings throughout the twin city area.

The majority of our business however, is remodeling. We do about 650-700 remodel jobs a year, from a small deck to tearing off a roof, adding another story to the house and putting the roof back on.

We have about 100 carpenters on payroll. All of the jobs are in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area in Minnesota. If you live out of state you'll need to relocate.

We are looking for a Field Supervisor/Project Manager who will help run remodel and new construction jobs.

Description:

This person needs to be capable of overseeing multiple remodeling crews, walking job sites, seeing what needs to be completed or corrected and creating punch lists when needed. A sharp eye for framing details is critical.

You will be dealing with general contractors, suppliers, foremen and crews. You will meet with foremen to give the job packets to at the beginning of each job, outlining what the scope of work is and how long the job should take to be complete.

Monitor the Work on the project as needed, sometimes stopping by every day or other day to ensure timeliness, quality of work and that the work is on schedule.

It requires someone who has high energy, organized and can handle the pressure of multi-tasking.

You will be assigned multiple projects. At Project start, you may have a pre-construction meeting with the General Contractor to get the plans, go over the project, make sure materials are on the ground and the overall project site is ready.

Oversee the work on the project as needed, sometimes stopping by every day or other day to ensure timeliness, quality of work and that the work is on schedule. · Monitor and write change orders and back charges for Work on the project.

Attend weekly progress meeting with the company estimators, PMs and production managers.

Attend training sessions/meetings as required. · Other duties as assigned.

Project Manager requirements:

· At least eight to ten years of residential framing experience. Four plus years of remodeling experience. ·

Be able to pass a background check and drug test.

· Have a valid driver’s license.

**NOTE**

We never start anyone out as a PM. Until you have proven that you are capable of running a crew doing high-end remodeling framing, you will need to work as a foreman alongside one of our experienced foreman. You will do this for anywhere from 3-9 months. You need to learn everything about the Solid, LLC., way of doing remodeling, from walking crews thru job scopes, job packets, scheduling or rescheduling crews to completing change orders. You need to throughly learn our procedures before we turn you loose on a $2 million dollar house. Anything less is just setting you up for failure.

Solid, LLC., provides an excellent compensation and benefit package. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year plus company truck. You will basically work out of your home.
