Your role at Clorox:
Are you a Procurement wizard with a passion for driving value for an organization? Do you have a proven track record of developing and implementing best-in-class category strategies and negotiating contracts with key suppliers? Then you might be the Senior Manager we're looking for!

As a Senior Manager, you will have procurement responsible for Closures, Triggers, Thermoform and Substrates associated to our key global brands with a total spend of approximately $204M annually.

Your responsibilities will include developing and owning global sourcing strategies for existing, and new product initiatives and launches; negotiation, contracting, supplier management, and leading cross-functional teams and global sourcing projects.

As a category lead for Clorox's strongest brands, you'll be responsible for supporting well over $1 billion in sales revenue for the company. You'll work closely with key senior business leadership through strategy development and shaping the way Clorox business priorities are supported and executed through procurement.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead, support, and drive procurement strategies across brands, including Cost, Supply Robustness, Innovation, and Sustainability; translate business strategies into an aligned procurement category strategy.
  • Actively lead the design, execution, and implementation of procurement tools and techniques to deliver value for the organization
  • Lead the identification and execution of projects to improve value delivery across the spend portfolio.
  • Lead key strategic relationship with suppliers by providing insights on how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities to meet business needs
  • Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities to advance the category such as design to value, cost models, process mapping.
  • Monitor market dynamics, supplier competitive landscape, standards and pricing/costing strategy for category
What we look for:
  • 7 years of Strategic Sourcing / Category management particularly in CPG and FMCG
  • 3 years' experience managing Direct Spend Categories (Raw Materials, Packaging)
  • 3 years' experience in a leadership role - Demonstrated business and project leadership skills, assertive and diplomatic, self-directed, able to manage up and down the organization effectively, willing to hold self and others accountable
  • 3 years' experience with MRP systems (SAP preferred)
  • 3 years' experience with MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience providing updates to/interacting with senior leadership
  • Proven record of developing and implementing category strategies
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Food Science, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or related fields
  • 10 years of successfully leading strategic sourcing work including supplier relationship management and commodity forecasting
  • Proven record of leading cross-functional teams and driving consensus
  • Experience with e-sourcing tools and SAP
  • Experience in raw material strategic sourcing, particularly agricultural commodities and other food ingredients
    • Familiarity with food manufacturing, EPA registration requirements, supply chain management, and/or Research & Development/innovation

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $116,700 - $229,800
–Zone B: $107,000 - $210,700
–Zone C: $97,200 - $191,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
