Contracted position for 8 hours a week (with the ability to increase) Psychotropic Medication Management Provider- must live in Maine. Waiver to prescribe for our Medication Assisted Treatment program preferred, not required. Experience with mental health and psychiatric prescribing is required.

Provider must be based in Maine, work is primarily through telehealth and provider must be able to commute occasionally to one of our offices in Bangor, Belfast or Yarmouth.

Pay starts at $75/hour and up, depending on experience

This is a contracted position for 8 hours a week. The provider can make their own schedule any day to work Monday-Thursday.

Brighter Heights Maine is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant- Certified who has psychiatric experience in assessing and prescribing for the management of mental health issues to work in our growing Psychotropic Medication Management and cover for our Medication Assisted Treatment (Opioid Health Home/MAT) Programs. Only fully credentialed PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners will be considered in addition to PAs.

We see children and adults in our Med Management program, and adults in our OHH/MAT program. Candidates must be licensed in the State of Maine.

Most work is done remotely, occasionally providers will come into one of our offices. We have a committed and collaborate team to support you and our clients. Candidates must have demonstrated experience working in mental health and substance use settings.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current and valid license to practice medicine as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in the State of Maine. NPs must be fully credentialed PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)

Experience:

2+ year of patient care in a community mental health and/or substance use setting

Advanced skill and knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluations and treating patients

DEA# and waiver to prescribe in our medication assistant treatment program preferred, not required
