SUMMARY: Salary: $30,000 salary plus commission on sales. Total compensation anticipated to be $60k-$150k. Respiratory Therapist preferred.

Markets respiratory medical equipment and supplies to doctors, hospitals, referral sources, and patients by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

Studies data describing new products to develop sales approach.

Compiles data on equipment and supplies preferred by customers.

Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone.

Advises customers of equipment for given need based on technical knowledge of products.

Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.

Provides customers with advice in such areas as legal and insurance regulations, cost analysis, and collection methods to develop goodwill and promote sales.

Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.

Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into company database.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be motivated, have strong sales skills and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Respiratory Therapist preferred.
