The Workday on Workday team is looking for an outstanding operations professional to join the Strategic Planning, Operations and Transformation team with an emphasis on operational excellence and innovation.
About the Role
The Operations Innovation Lead role is a high visibility role with a focus on identifying, designing and driving operational initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for collaborative problem solvers who are passionate about process improvement.
Given the senior-level stakeholders and nature of initiatives, you must possess exceptional qualitative and quantitative problem solving, project management, communication and coordination skills. You’ll need to demonstrate the confidence, resourcefulness, adaptability, and flexibility needed to actively engage a diverse set of team members to recommend and implement programs that achieve the desired business outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with business partners through continuous discovery to understand current processes and challenges
  • Find opportunities for automation, process improvement and organizational transformation that improve efficiency and productivity in the areas of governance, compliance, and operations
  • Design processes that are measurable, scalable and efficient
  • Lead organizational change and enablement activities to successfully implement new processes
  • Identify risks and dependencies for process improvement initiatives
  • Prioritize process improvement opportunities to create a roadmap
  • Ensure timely and outcome-driven improvements with ongoing metrics
  • Adjust initiatives as needed based on business partner feedback and measurable results
  • Lead the organization on a journey of continuous improvement through discovery and data-driven analysis
About You
Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of project / program management or consulting experience focused on operations or process improvement
Other Qualifications:
  • Track record of large-scale, cross-organizational, program management
  • Passion for process improvement and operational excellence
  • Strong sense of vision, strategy, risk management to get results, while remaining flexible to make adjustments to stay on track
  • Acute business insight and understanding of organizational issues and challenges, with ability to be steadfast and collaborative – ensuring that debates and discussions not only lead to phenomenal outcomes but also set a positive tone for cross-functional teams
  • Independently capable of seeking information, thinking critically, solving problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations.
  • Strong presence and interpersonal skills to interact and influence teams, executives, colleagues and third parties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience with an enterprise software company
  • Experience in the Workday ecosystem
  • Tenacious, resilient, energetic, motivated, and ready to roll!
  • BS / BA / MS / MA degree or equivalent work experience

The base pay range for the primary location of this job is listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Base Pay Min to Max Range: $155,100 - $232,700
