Center Business Development Specialist - Graduate Fellow Level (Masters level or equivalent

experience)

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic more grant funding has been made available to those in the public health sector. However, the increased projects and financial support needed has created an administrative burden for many organizations that is not supported by the current staffing capacity. The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department (SLCPHD) continues to work closely with the St. Lawrence County Health Initiative Inc, an external partner, on identifying data sources of public health data, collaboratively attending stakeholder meetings, promoting public health events, as well as synergistically creating educational content for hardcopy and electronic platforms.

The hiring and training of a Center Business Development Specialist at the St. Lawrence County Health Initiative Inc., while under the supervision of the SLCPHD, will provide additional fiscal and programmatic support to guide effective community engagement activities during the ongoing pandemic. The placement of a fellow with an external stakeholder not only provides support to those the SLCPHD frequently works to enrich public health initiatives, but also strengthens the relationship between the two organizations for years to come. An individual in the Center for Business Development will be responsible for programmatic and fiscal activities including:

  • Leads the development of a Business Plan for the Lifestyle Program Training and Technical Assistance Center
  • Coordinates Center Programmatic Development Activities
  • Supports the Development of funding/contracts
  • Works with developing integrated network to push forward all Network goals
  • Oversees data collection plans for the center
  • Ensures activities comply with government regulations
  • Generates budgets and long-term sustainability plans.
  • Maintaining high-level understanding of upcoming federal and state regulations/activities potentially impacting programmatic and network work (1115 waiver, etc.), prepare network for participation in statewide efforts
  • Develop communication plan for referring providers.
  • Coordinating, attending and/or supporting meetings integral to the success of network work plan.
  • Other duties as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29.50 per hour
