We are seeking motivated and versatile individuals to join MineStar® Command autonomous operations mining/quarry sites across the globe as MineStar Application Specialists. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside the world’s leading mining companies with the latest in autonomy technology. This position gives management-level exposure to entry-level positions, as mining companies look to Caterpillar's expertise to advise and implement mining operational best practices and procedures with respect to autonomy technology.
In this role, you will work roster shift (rotating shift work), which will provide you with the ability to best assist our customers in meeting their safe production goals. As part of our onboarding process, you will go through a robust training program where you will learn all aspects of system operation, troubleshooting, and application of autonomy to a mining/quarry environment. Once you complete this training program, you will be well-positioned to support our customers in optimizing system performance.

What you will do:
Assisting the Implementation Team with the installation and configuration of MineStar® Fleet.
Coaching mine operations groups to achieve maximum performance of MineStar® Fleet.
Implementing MineStar® Command and maximizing system performance.
Utilizing close collaboration internally and externally, you will become a trusted advisor for the customer.
Supporting and advising MineStar® Command Office Supervisors, Builders, Controllers, and Pit Technicians in all aspects of Minestar® system performance, including minimizing downtime.
Providing technical support to MineStar® Command System onboard maintenance Supervisors and Technicians.
Supporting hardware and software installation and configuration through establishing Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
Measuring, benchmarking, and reporting on MineStar® Command System performance, and suggesting opportunities for improvements.
Developing training and process material.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Computer Engineering/Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Previous technical research, internship/co-op experience in mining technology products and product applications, including Fleet Management systems (experience and competence will determine starting salary grade).

Have prior Mining experience (internships count).
Have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a complex team.
Additional information:
The location for this position is Tucson, AZ, or Peoria, IL.
Domestic relocation assistance is available.
This position may require 50 % travel. The location depends on the customer's site.
This is a rostered (shift work) position and may include living in mining camps and with a fly in/fly out or drive in drive out requirements (away from home).
Shifts generally include 12 hours shifts that rotation between days and nights. Rotation schedules will vary by customer site.
The training program is tailored to the individual and may include classroom training and on-the-job training and mentoring.
