Our client is a large Industrial Motors Manufacturer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II

• Utilize data-driven problem-solving methods to improve key quality metrics such as internal and external PPM, Scrap, and Customer Satisfaction
• Provide calibration support including gauge selection, procurement, and calibration.
• Assist in the effort to maintain current ISO9001 and AS9100 certifications.
• Assist quality in collecting, compiling, and analyzing data in Excel to determine both root causes and corrective action to prevent a recurrence.
• Establish and lead the non-conformance review board.
• Drive a culture of quality at the source whereby all associates assume ownership for the quality of their work, services, and products.
• Assist in Identifying & driving continuous improvement opportunities & participate in kaizen events.
• Assist in overseeing appropriate quality acceptance criteria for new equipment, process, and product introductions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering discipline
• 3-5 years of Manufacturing Work Experience
• Ability to quickly learn quality systems, e.g. AS9100, ISO9001
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Experience in root cause analysis and formal problem-solving techniques.
• Ability to quickly learn the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools (including SPC, GR& R, FMEA, Control Plans, Cpk, GD&T, DMAIC, First Article Inspection, Cost of Quality).
• Experience with Minitab to determine CPK & PPK desired.
• Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Background in a metal manufacturing environment including metal cutting and grinding is desirable.
• Working knowledge of engineering part drawings Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
• Experience working in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
• Demonstrated career advancement with increasing accountability.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineering (CQE) desired
