The Remote Sensing Programs Business Unit, within the Payload & Ground Systems Division, is seeking a Capture Manager with experience in the space sector. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead teams in the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to capture new business and lead the development of winning proposals.

This position requires you to work at one of the primary work sites below. Travel required based on business needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and executes plans to capture new business
  • Lead the development of capture strategy, competitive assessments, teaming strategies and agreements, price-to-win strategy, and the development of a compelling offer to do business.
  • Works with functional organizations to allocate resources to execute the capture plan.
  • Influence requirements that results in favorable Requests for Proposals (RFP) aligned with the BU’s strategic imperatives.
  • Works closely with Proposal Managers to develop and implement win themes and pricing strategies
  • Ensures adherence to Northrop Grumman’s Business Acquisition Process

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or business
  • 3 to 5 years of experience supporting programs or captures in the US government sector
  • Current and active DoD Top Secret
  • US Government acquisition process experience
  • Experience in Program Management or Capture Management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the USG space domain
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain highly effective internal and external relationships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization

This position reports to Linthicum, MD, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Rolling Meadows, IL, IL, USA.



Salary Range: $168,100 USD - $252,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $141,100 USD - $211,700 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
