Steve’s Bagels is looking for a passionate, hardworking and enthusiastic person to join our team as a Manager for our New Location in Hartford. The successful candidate is a problem solver with a knack for building great teams using clear and precise direction and a positive vibe. Our management style is hands on and you will be required to lead by example, have excellent customer service skills and be willing to submit to a background, drug and alcohol test. As a manager in our store, you must be able develop a relationship with employees that works in synch with our other managers and owners.
Position Requirements

*Ability to lead and manage operations in a fast paced dynamic environment. *Oversee and manage daily operations of a busy bagel store containing bakery, deli and grill area. *Learn the different roles to be able to train and properly supervise in each area of expertise. *Assist in the start up of drive thru operations and develop procedures for its success *Anticipate and identify problems and initiate appropriate corrective action where necessary *Maintain inventory levels and ensure optimal replenishment *Prepare employee schedule and ensure that employees arrive on time and perform as expected. *Record payments made to vendors for purchases delivered to directly to the store. *Prepare shopping lists for shopper *Ensure accuracy of daily reporting of sales, closing register and controlling cash *Ensure accuracy of outbound catering and delivery orders *Promote and increase catering orders and overall sales *Make recommendations regarding the hiring and termination of employees at the store. Assist in conducting and documenting performance reviews. *Assist in properly staffing store and ensuring that employees are cross trained. *Assist in handling customer complaints and issues *Ensure that employee handbook and all policies and procedures are implemented and enforced. *Assist in monitoring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws. *Assist in minimizing waste *Resolve employee complaints, concerns or conflicts should the need arise *Resolve customer complaints or issues *Verify that labor information is posted as owner requires *Ensure food safety procedures are executed according to Company policy and health/sanitation regulations. Take corrective actions as required. *Ensure that store is ready to do business on a daily basis and is in compliance with all company guidelines and procedures. *Assists in ensuring that operational and administrative changes are implemented and followed. *Work closely with other managers to ensure consistency and camaraderie between stores. *Monitor Social Media *Performs other projects that may be assigned or requested by the Owner *Salary commensurate with experience *Awesome team-oriented and fun environment *Lots of potential for growth within the organization for those who work hard
Key Skills and credentials:

*Personable and friendly with great interpersonal and communication skills *Excellent organizational skills (a diehard list person) *Formal culinary education a plus *Relevant experience operating a café or deli style operation required *Ability to manage staff and organize schedules *Be available for after-hours support and issues if the need arises. *Good technical and computer skills *Ability to think on your feet and maintain composure in a fast paced environment. *Serv Safe certification *3 years prior restaurant experience minimum *Must be 18 years of age or older
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
