An automotive parts manufacturer by the Coldwater, MI area is currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to support their facility. This is a full-time, direct hire position with openings on multiple shifts available. Entry-level candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct preventative, general, and emergency maintenance on equipment and machinery (hydraulic / pneumatic equipment, foundry equipment, welding, etc.)
• Electrical wiring and troubleshooting
• Read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams to resolve issues and complete repairs
• Follow a predictive maintenance schedule and assist with planning scheduled downtime activities
• Ensure personal compliance to OSHA, EPA, and other safety / environmental requirements and standards
• Tracking of tool and material inventory
• Creation of maintenance activity reports for upper management
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements Include:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1-3 years’ hands-on experience (including professional training, apprenticeships, etc.) in the set-up, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance documents
• Good communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management ability
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
