Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Utility Technician to join our team. The Facilities Maintenance Utility Technician at Frazer reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, and is responsible for keeping the buildings, grounds, equipment and inventory clean, orderly, properly maintained, safe and healthy. Assists HSSE and Maintenance as directed in performing minor repair tasks in the upkeep of the facilities..


What Does a Week in the Life of the Facilities Maintenance Utility Technician Look Like?

  • Maintains good housekeeping while cleaning of facilities; including grounds, production areas, offices and bathrooms.
  • Remove used waste material from machines and used waste disposal areas, and assists with 3rd party pick up of used waste. This could include:
    • Conduct daily disposal of paint and paint booth related used waste
    • Conduct daily removal of pallets to proper storage areas
    • Conduct daily removal of used cardboard; compact and band
    • Conduct daily removal of recycled metals to proper storage areas
  • Provides good customer service while addressing urgent housekeeping requests as needed.
  • Assist in conducting biweekly and semi annual paint booth housekeeping.
  • Keep equipment and tools well organized.
  • Perform maintenance activities related to the upkeep of kitchen, bathroom fixtures and light fixtures.
  • Maintain building runoff and drainage by keeping storm drains and gutters clear of debris.
  • Perform facility upkeep and beautification tasks, including pressure washing and minor painting tasks.
  • Perform all the above functions while adhering to human resources & safety policies and procedures.
  • Report with anticipation if there will be a delayed arrival to work (with at least 2 hours before check-in time).
  • Any other duties assigned by department management.

Secondary Functions:

  • Operate a forklift, scissor lifts, compactor and computer systems daily.
  • Participate in daily huddles for your shift to go over daily priorities/goals.
  • Be consistently at work on time and arrive at meetings and appointments on time. Read and respond to emails, chats, or texts daily.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Education Diploma/GED required.
  • Able to pass a background check and drug test.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, compactors, etc.

Oh, and $alary

Of course, we didn't forget salary… Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $15.00 - $18.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.


Work Schedule

The Facilities Maintenance Utility Technician will work Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
