Pro-Form has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Lead to work at our manufacturing facility in Benicia, CA. This is a Swing Shift position.

Summary:

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for providing guidance to all maintenance staff and taking ownership of the completion of department responsibilities. This position requires mastered understanding of troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems, fine-tuning of electrical, PLC, and system controls. The lead responds to all critical and emergency issues within the facility and is responsible for completing the prioritized multiple demands and making independent decisions based on critical needs. Additionally, this position will provide guidance and mentoring to all Maintenance Mechanics I, II, and III within the facility.

Essential Functions:

• Schedule preventative maintenance to production-related equipment. Determines the root cause of more difficult issues and appropriate corrections.
• Oversee production-related issues and makes necessary corrections to controls as needed. Identifies and corrects safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical.
• Support the design and implementation of continuous improvement processes. Performs preventative maintenance to production-related equipment as needed.
• Perform troubleshooting and needed tasks involving low and high voltage electrical and control systems of 480 volt devices (AC and DC), including repair or replacement of system components.
• Design, Construction and Repair - Recommends and performs installations of new or replacement facility equipment. Works with and oversees in-house and third-Party installations.
• Detect, diagnose, and resolve electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating/cooling, and equipment problems before they impact the operation of the facility.
• Utilize materials and tools to design/create/repair custom equipment to support the operation (i.e. wood, metal, etc.).
• Perform necessary data entry (i.e. work orders, down time logs, preventative maintenance logs,) Makes sure all records are completed and handed off for proper record keeping.
• Oversee and ensure the maintenance shop area is organized, neat and clean. Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc., to avoid the risk of accidents.
• Use safe lifting techniques and operates power equipment in a safe minor. Abide by all stated regulations while performing works, i.e., lockout/tag out procedures, etc.
• Oversee inventories, repairs and clean-up of equipment and work areas daily.
• Communicate with all peers, customers, and management regarding safety issues and training requirements.
• Ensure work status is communicated amongst all shifts and facilitate a smooth handoff of in process tasks. Cultivate an awareness of the training needs of maintenance staff, and be an approachable, knowledgeable resource for the maintenance team.
