Qualifications:
- Licensed by the Texas State Board of Nursing
- A minimum of 6 months of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
- Knowledge of care plan process
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and resident assessment skills
What it takes to be an LVN:
The LVN will deliver direct patient care, assist with CNA supervision, and communicate with families and physicians under the direction of the DON.
Responsibilities:
· Helps DON evaluate, plan, and organize nursing care according to established policies.
· Documents and records pertinent information related to patient demographics, graphic data, and nursing interventions performed.
· Assists with CNA supervision and direction under the direction of RN.
· Assists in pre-screening, room assignment, and discharge of residents.
· Makes rounds on all residents daily.
· Maintains a comfortable and pleasant environment and promotes the elimination of hazards.
· Notifies the physician, resident, and family/POA of any new or unusual findings as indicated under the supervision of the RN.
· Maintains confidentiality of necessary information.
· Promotes positive interactions with internal and external customers, visitors, residents, and team members.
· Provides excellent customer service that supports resident care.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
· Participates in the identification of staff educational needs.
· Conducts self in a professional manner and in compliance with facility policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
**Available Shift: 6 pm - 6 am
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
