The Behavioral Health Clinical Therapist operates both in a consultative role within our primary care setting as well as offers traditional moderate level therapeutic services. You would provide same-day consultation services that may include differential diagnosis, mental health screenings and assessments, psychoeducation, brief interventions, and referrals for further treatment. We are looking for a candidate with a strong desire to work with children and youth and other diverse client population, and someone who is willing and ready to collaborate with various health care team members. This role is designed for quick thinkers and confident communicators!

Job Responsibilities

• Provide same-day consultation services that may include differential diagnosis, mental health screenings and assessments, psychoeducation, brief interventions, and referrals for further treatment.
• Consult with and advises other healthcare team members on methods of assisting patients and their families in overcoming social and emotional difficulties which may prevent effective health care.
• Manage psychosocial aspects of chronic and acute diseases.
• Provide individual therapy to a small number of patients.
• Work with the Behavioral Health team members to promote positive health outcomes and assure the full integration of behavioral health services.

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in a Behavioral Health discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, etc.) with a valid Illinois state licensure as appropriate to discipline
• Prior work experience as a LCSW or LCPC
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) and bi-cultural competency preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Cultural competency to work in a low income, minority environment
• We will consider candidates that are within 3-6 months of licensing
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation is required for all employees

• Starting salary for new Therapist is $62,000 a year plus a generous benefits package
• Erie is part of the National Health Service Corps which offers a Loan Repayment Program (up to $50k for full-time and $25k for part-time employees for a 2 year commitment)
